Lewis C

Lewis began painting seriously later in life, though his love of painting has been lifelong. His work is inspired by the television shows and films he grew up watching and continues to enjoy today, drawing on their imagery, energy, and sense of drama.

In recent years, he has been developing his practice, building a strong, confident approach to painting. Lewis was awarded a Highly Commended award through the Dawn Falls Slade Award and received an Emerging Artist Grant from IAF. With support from both Tutti Visual Arts Studios and Co-Arts Studio, he was granted his first overseas residency in Seoul, South Korea. Since then, he has also completed a residency in Greece.

Lewis has held solo exhibitions and has developed a keen following for his work. A prolific and energetic painter, he loves working on a large scale and painting on objects. His abstract works are passionate, spontaneous, and enthusiastic, reflecting his own vibrant energy. With boundless enthusiasm for his practice, Lewis would happily paint all day.
